Fan React After Colorado Gets Upset by Kansas

One of the biggest games of the week was 16th-ranked Colorado taking on the unranked Kansas Jayhawks.

But the Jayhawks shocked the Buffaloes, coming out on top with a 37-21 victory. It was their third straight victory over a ranked opponent. Following Colorado's loss, fans weighed in with reactions on social media.

"Colorado losing to a team with a pulse as usual. Heisman poses all game though," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Ok, can we stop the Colorado is a national championship caliber team now?" another user added.

Travis Hunter Responds to Kirby Smart

At the end of the season, the College Football Playoff selection committee will select twelve teams to play for the National Championship. But unfortunately, that means several worthy contenders will be left on the outside looking in. With Colorado currently ranked 16th in the nation, they could end up on either side of that window. That decision will solely be left up to the committee.

While record and strength of schedule can certainly aid a teams chances at making the final twelve, it doesn't guarantee it. Nobody actually knows what criteria are used to make the selections.

Earlier this week, Georgia's Kirby Smart expressed his disdain for the selection process.

I don't know what they're looking for. I really don't," Smart said, via On3 Sports. "I wish they could really define the criteria. I wish they could do the eyeball test where they come down here and look at the people we're playing against and look at them. And you can't see that stuff on TV. So I don't know what they look for, but that's for somebody else to decide."

The quote seemed to be a dig at Colorado who had been accused of receiving favorable treatment because of head coach Deion Sanders' notoriety.

However, Colorado star Travis Hunter had a counterargument.

"I'm not the committee," Hunter said. "I can't tell the committee what to do. I guess he could try to put input in, but I really can't do anything about it. Georgia plays good football. God has a plan, and man, and the committee, they control it, but God has a plan ... If other teams lose, they could clearly be in the College Football Playoff. Georgia's a real good team ... They've got to keep playing, not worry about all of that."
