The Ole Miss Rebels did not come into this season as perennial contenders like the Alabama Crimson Tide or Georgia Bulldogs. But still, they were seen as a formidable program that could sneak into the final four and compete in the College Football Playoff.

Fans React to Kentucky Beating Ole Miss
The Rebels came into Saturday's matchup against the 2-2 Kentucky Wildcats as the overwhelming underdogs boasting a 4-4 record. Yet and still, the Wildcats proved that they were still a worthy opponent. Kentucky squeaked out a 20-17 victory over Ole Miss, handing Lane Kiffin and company their first loss of the season.

Fans on social media were shocked by the end result.
"Mark Stoops finally grew a pair and took some big chances! He finally coached to WIN instead of coaching to not lose!" one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"What a win for Stoops and your program, you made your father proud son!!" another fan added.
"Kentucky road upset win took me by surprise! Ole Miss totally speechless!" another fan said.
One fan also noted how people shunned the 4th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs for narrowly beating the Wildcats earlier this season and suggested that they may just be that good.
"People made fun of Georgia who was missing key players, for winning by 1 on the road against a Kentucky team that just took down Ole Miss. Fun
fact, Kentucky has the 6th best ranked defense in all of college football. Could it be that they're better than everyone thinks?" the fan said.
Jaxson Dart Recalls Pickleball Duel With Lane Kiffin
Ole Miss was undefeated due in large part to the play of their quarterback, Jaxson Dart. Dart and head coach Lane Kiffin's relationship has been well-documented during their tenure. Kiffin has always been a head coach with a laid-back demeanor. Dart recently shared a story about him playing pickleball with Kiffin when asked about his most memorable moments with his head coach.
"I'd probably have to refer back to a pickleball game that we had," Dart said. "
It was a big matchup, he calls it a marquee matchup we played on prime time at 7:30. It was me and my tight end Caden Prieskorn vs. Sawyer [Jordan], one of the coaches here. They ended up beating us, and Coach Kiffin said that it was a bigger win than our LSU win last year, which I thought was crazy."
