Fans Go Scorched Earth on Nick Saban's Hat
One of the recurring themes during the airing of the program was College Gameday co-host and former Alabama Crimson Tide coach, Nick Saban — particularly his wardrobe. Fans were quick to point out his newest fashion accessory, a top hat which led to a ton of fan reactions on social media.
"Can't stop thinking about this every time I see Nick Saban's stupid little hat," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Nick Saban wearing that little hat perhaps a humiliation ritual," another user added.

Former Alabama Coach Gets Honest on Bryce Young
Saban retired from coaching college football last year after his departure from the University of Alabama. But he still keeps abreast of what is happening with his former players, particularly ones who have transitioned to the pros.
So you can imagine that he was disheartened when former Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young was benched by the Carolina Panthers earlier this season. Saban alluded to how intense the position of quarterback can be, especially if "the people around you don't play well." This set him up to dig in on Carolina's team more than Young's ability, arguing that the QB can "operate well when he has good players around him."
"Do they have the type of players around Bryce Young to even give him a chance to be successful," the Hall of Fame coach questioned. "That's one of the bad things about being the first guy picked in a draft. You may go to a team that doesn't have all the pieces that you need."
" [The Panthers] have to build this thing from the ground up. I hate to see Bryce get benched. But I also don't see a lot of opportunity for him to be successful based on the skill players they have around him, the offensive line they around him."
