Another suitor is emerging for five-star USC decommit Matt Corral

Corral is the No. 2 pro-style quarterback in the country.

Last week, five-star quarterback Matt Corral (6-foot-2, 196 pounds, Long Beach, Ca.) decommitted from USC, and three teams initially emerged as the new favorites for him: Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Now it looks like another team may be getting involved.

According to 247Sports, Nebraska is starting to get involved in Corral's recruitment, and Corral could be planning on a visit to Lincoln during the summer. Nebraska has had a lot of success recently recruiting players out of California, and Corral looks to be their next big target.

Corral already has visits planned for Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. The 247Sports Crystal Ball currently has Georgia listed as the favorite, which could prove to be interesting in the future; Georgia already has former highly-rated quarterbacks Jacob Eason (sophomore) and Jake Fromm (freshman) on the roster. Adding another five-star to that mix could cause some gridlock under center for the Bulldogs, but they likely have a plan in mind if they are pursing Corral this hard.

Corral is rated as the No. 2 pro-style quarterback of the 2018 class by the 247Sports Composite. He's rated as the No. 17 overall recruit.
