Five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson (6-foot-0, 175 pounds, Savannah, GA) has yet to commit despite being a class of 2016 recruit, as he is still waiting to see if he can make the grades to get into Stanford. Five other teams joined the Cardinal in competition for Robertson: Georgia, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, California, and Alabama.
However, it looks like the Crimson Tide have been eliminated. 247Sports — via SEC Country — is saying that Robertson has officially eliminated the Tide from his recruitment, leaving just five teams left for the five-star recruit. It's unknown why Alabama has been eliminated, but apparently the decision is "final".
Robertson has signed aid agreements with three schools: Georgia, Georgia Tech, and California. As far as recruiting goes, this allows Robertson to have unlimited contact with these schools.
Robertson is rated as the No. 14 overall recruit in the 2016 class by 247Sports. He is the consensus top wide receiver in his class, and is the only five-star recruit left on the board for 2016.
