Five-star wide receiver James Robinson (6-foot-3, 196 pounds, Lakeland, FL) is one of the top players of the 2017 recruiting cycle, and for a while, Clemson had been seen as his leader.
However, according to Rivals.com, Robinson has a new leader: The Florida Gators.
The Gators only have four commits for the 2017 class, so this is a big move for them for this recruiting cycle. Florida has been falling behind the rest of the SEC in recruiting, so Robinson could potentially be a big get for them.
As for Robinson, Florida and Clemson represent two of his nearly 40 offers. Of those offers, Alabama, Florida State, and Michigan State are seen as potentially competitors.
