During the postgame, Norvell spoke about pulling the flag out of Bobby Bowden field.
"That's not going to happen here. I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure we don't experience that again."
"I told him [Napier] what I thought," Norvell continued. "They won the game. They have the right to celebrate, just like we have in the previous years."
On the other hand, Napier apologized on behalf of his team regarding the situation.
"What happened there at the end of the game is not who we want to be as a program," Napier said. "It's a distraction from a really well-played football game."
Overall, Florida State had five lost fumbles (school record), and many fans pointed out it was a representation of a disappointing season.
