Florida State football has been unmatched in this area over the last 3 years

They've been dominant.

There's just one difference between the last three national champions — winning at home.

Florida State, unlike Ohio State in 2014 and Alabama in 2015, went undefeated at home the year the Seminoles won the crown. They followed that up with dominating home field advantage both years after that to have the best home record in college football over the past three years.

Florida State has been spotless at home, compiling a 21-0 record over the last three seasons, while Alabama dropped a loss to Ole Miss last season and the year prior, Ohio State fell to Virginia Tech. The Buckeyes also dropped a home contest to Michigan State last year.

Clemson's lone home loss came at the hands of Florida State in 2013, while Michigan State fell to Ohio State at home in 2014.
