Report: FSU players kept trying to draft this player for spring game rosters

It might not be the first player you'd expect.

Florida State's spring game kicks off this Saturday from the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla. The game kicks off at 3:00 p.m. EST, and the format for the teams for the scrimmage are a little different from years past — players have drafted teams themselves for the first time. FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher didn't want to get too much away as far as who was drafted where, but some of the underclassmen shed some light on how the draft went.

Redshirt junior linebacker Ro'Derrick Hoskins told SB Nation's Bud Elliott that there was one player who everyone wanted on their team. That player was sophomore defensive back Derwin James. James, although he's young emerged as a starter in the secondary last season, and is considered to be one of the most athletic players on the 'Noles' roster.

Last season, he showed off some of his freak abilities during warmups with this sick one-handed catch, and when he flattened this Florida offensive lineman.
