According to 247Sports, though, one team is starting to trend upwards for gaining Fields' commitment: Florida State. Tom Loy of 247 said that the Seminoles were the team to beat, while his colleague Steve Wiltfong believes that Florida State has been able to pass Florida in recent weeks as the No. 1 team for Fields.

The trend towards Florida State comes after Fields took a visit to Tallahassee last weekend.
Fields is also considering Auburn, Georgia, and the team he decommitted from, Penn State. There is currently no timetable for Fields to make another commitment.
Fields is ranked as the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback by the 247Sports Composite, which also has him ranked as the No. 3 overall recruit for the 2018 class.
