The college football playoffs feature 12 teams. Oregon is the top seed, Georgia is second, Boise State is third, and Arizona State is fourth. All four of these teams will start the playoffs with a Bye week.

The other eight teams are Texas (No. 5), Penn State (No. 6), Notre Dame (No. 7), Ohio State (No. 8), Tennessee (No. 9), Indiana (No. 10), SMU (No. 11), and Clemson (No. 12). Alabama did not make the playoff field after a three-loss season.

"Someone ask that committee chairman clown how SMU is ranked higher than Clemson after literally losing to Clemson last night on National TV in front of the Good Lord and Everyone," one person posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Some other football fans weighed in and said that SMU making the playoffs was "wild" after they lost to Clemson in primetime. However, some others argued that SMU still had a stronger season than Alabama considering that the Crimson Tide lost to two average teams in Vanderbilt and Oklahoma.

"I have watched enough of Alabama this year to know that Alabama could beat SMU by 21," one person posted. "I've also watched enough of Alabama this year to know that Alabama could lose to SMU by 21. That's why they got left out."

"Keeping Clemson 16th is hilarious if they actually kept SMU in," another person posted after seeing the bracket. "The argument for SMU was conference championship games should matter. Clemson not moving up any proves it doesn't."

Of course, college football fans are fiery individuals, so it was expected that they would have some issues with the bracket regardless of how it turned out. However, the Georgia fans did not have many complaints.

Instead, they proclaimed that the Bulldogs have to make the National Championship considering that their first game will be against either Notre Dame or Indiana. A win would send Georgia to a matchup with either SMU, Penn State, or Boise State.

"Love it. Dawgs got a good path," one Georgia fan posted. "Committee is obsessed with northern teams hosting first-round games. Like it's not cold in Knoxville in December, too."
