Former Baylor coach Art Briles helped this SEC squad land a former commit

The new commit is a huge addition.

A one-time Baylor commit, four-star running back Kam Martin committed to Auburn after getting some advice from an unlikely source — former Baylor head coach Art Briles.

Via 247sports:

"He helped me — I still have a great relationship with him," Martin said. "He just told me Auburn is a great fit for me with Coach Gus Malzahn and his coaching staff," Martin said. "He said if I was going to Baylor and he was there, it would be the same type of vibe (as at Auburn). He told me Coach Gus would take care of me. He said with him, it's about the player, about the university. And shoot, he's an offensive guru."

Martin turned down an offer from TCU to attend Auburn after he bounced from Baylor.

The 5'11", 180-pound shifty back with 4.3 40 speed should be a welcome addition to an up-and-coming Tiger squad.
