This will definitely raise some eyebrows.

Some people are going to be glad that the BCS is gone based on this ranking, while others may pine for its return.

The Billingley Report — one of the former BCS computer polls — released its preseason rankings on Tuesday, and while there was a lot of chalk around the top, the poll may surprise people with one particular team in the Top 5.

Most people expect Michigan and Ohio State to battle it out for the Big Ten, but most polls have been higher on Michigan so far than the Buckeyes. Not this one, as the Buckeyes gain the No. 5 ranking for the top spot among Big Ten teams. This would squarely put Urban Meyer and co. in Playoff contention, which would be a coup for the Buckeyes after last year's disappointing miss on the Big Ten title.

Otherwise, the Top 4 is similar to what many human polls have: Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, and Oklahoma, in that order. After the Buckeyes at No. 5 are Michigan, LSU, Michigan State, Stanford, and Houston. Michigan State and Houston fans might be quite happy with those rankings, while fans of teams like Tennessee (No. 17), Louisville (No. 29), and Texas A&M (No. 41) may be less than enthused.
