Former, current players caught off guard, "shocked" by Art Briles firing

The reactions were all over the place.

Baylor canned head coach Art Briles Thursday after reports into the team's handling of sexual assault or domestic violence allegations showed shocking results.

The lashing out on social media from current and former players under Briles was unexpected to say the least.

From Wes Welker, who said that no one had more integrity than Briles, despite the reported allegations:

To players full on threatening not to play.

Regardless of if Briles was alone in the way he reportedly handled things or not, someone had to fall on the sword, and the former Baylor head coach ended up being that man.
