Boise State linebacker and former four-star prospect Kameron Miles was reportedly arrested on Jan. 10 while being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to use. However, that is not the biggest issue facing Miles at this point, as Kristin Rodine of the Idaho Statesman brings word that he will no longer be a member of the Broncos football program as a result of a second arrest earlier this week.
Miles, who enrolled at Boise State in 2015 after playing junior college football at Butler Community College, pled guilty to the original drug charge. The second arrest, though, was for misdemeanor domestic battery that seemingly involved a road rage incident that morphed into a domestic dispute.
The now-former linebacker was booked into jail in Ada County early on Wednesday morning and, within hours, Boise State has dismissed him while indicating that "Boise State Athletics will have no further comment at this time". It remains to be seen as to what type of punishment Miles would face if convicted of the alleged crime, but the Broncos wasted no time in distancing the program from an offense that would be highly troubling if proven to be true.
Boise State and Kameron Miles are no longer linked through football and that appears to be the right decision based on the available information.
