This is awful.

According to SI.com and the Palm Beach Post, former Notre Dame running back and current UAB signee Greg Bryant is in critical condition after being shot early on Saturday morning.

Bryant was found in a car with gunshot wounds along I-95 near West Palm Beach around 5:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Bryant and a passenger were both taken to a local hospital, where Bryant still remains in critical condition. The passenger reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The West Palm Police reported that they have no current suspects at the time, and that they are still seeking out witnesses to the shooting.

Bryant was a four-star recruit back in 2013, and had committed to play with Notre Dame. Bryant rushed for 303 yards and three touchdowns over two seasons before incurring academic issues in South Bend. He transferred to a JUCO in Miami for 2015, and had recently committed to play with UAB in 2017.
