Mark Helfrich was unceremoniously let go by Oregon after a 4-8 season in which nothing seemed to go right with too many embarrassing losses to think about. It seems that he's bounced back though as The Big Lead is reporting that he's taken a job with FOX Sports.

The source that spoke to TBL did so anonymously as they were not authorized to speak on the matter. Helfrich is expected to mainly be a presence in the booth. A Fox Sports spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
Helfrich was at Oregon since 2009 as a offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, but took over as head coach in 2013 after Chip Kelly bolted for the NFL. He went a total 37-16 in his time as the head coach and 24-12 in the conference. He also led the team to a win in the Rose Bowl in 2014 and got to the first College Football Playoff Championship that year where they lost to Ohio State. The team also went 1-1 in Alamo Bowls under Helfrich.
