Former Texas Longhorns QB Vince Young arrested Monday morning for DWI

Vince Young officially retired from the NFL in June of 2014.

Vince Young, the former Texas Longhorns quarterback, was arrested in Austin, Tx. early Monday morning on a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. According to the Austin American-StatesmanYoung was booked into a Travis County jail at 12:46 a.m. on Monday morning.

Young has reportedly already appeared before a Travis County judge, and court officials set his bond at $2,000. Young serves as a diversity and community engagement officer in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin and also assists with raising money to support the division's many educational programs, according to officials at UT.

Young is famous for leading the Longhorns to a National Title over USC in 2006. Young would go on to play six seasons in the NFL, including stints with the Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles. Young officially announced his retirement from the NFL in 2014.
