Four-star and 6'8" OT Obinna Eze announces these five teams as his finalists

This big fella has an interesting favorite.

Four-star offensive tackle Obinna Eze is hard to miss; the Nashville native is a towering presence at 6-foot-8 and 285 pounds, and he is on the verge of announcing his commitment.

According to Rivals.com, Eze will announce his decision on Monday (August 15) and he will be choosing between these five teams: Alabama, Tennessee, Memphis, LSU, and Florida. The big surprise, though, is that non of the four SEC powerhouses on that list is considered the current favorite to land Eze's commitment.

"Memphis was one of the first schools to recruit me and start a relationship with me," Eze told Rivals about the Tigers. "I like the direction of their program and I like their coaching staff. They have really told me that I can be the face of the program there and have a chance to come in and play right away."

In addition to all of that, 247Sports also lists Memphis as the heavy favorite for Eze's commitment; their Crystal Ball gives them a 100-percent chance of getting the highly-touted four-star.

According to 247Sports, Eze would be Memphis's highest-ranked commitment since the 2009 recruiting class, which featured four-star DT Justin Thompson. Memphis has only had one four-star commit since then: all-purpose back Jae'lon Olgesby, who signed in 2015 and played eight games last year as a true-freshman.

Obviously Eze is going to have a big impact on whichever team he commits to, but you have to feel like Memphis is the scrappy little underdog in this recruiting story that everyone can root for.
