Four-star class of 2018 defensive back Tre Douglas may be a McDonough, GA. native, but his hometown Georgia Bulldogs aren't atop his list.
Who sits atop his list? The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Douglas visited Columbus on Saturday for a Buckeyes' practice, and opened up about his recruitment.
Via 247sports:
"It was great," he told Bucknuts of the visit. "I loved everything about it. I watched practice, took a tour of all the facilities, and had a great conversation with Coach Meyer and Coach Coombs. They told me that I'm a priority for them and would fit in great here. We also went over defensive schemes and things like that."
So where does OSU stand for Douglas after this trip?
"Ohio State has been my number one for a while now," he explained. "Their fan base really stands out."
This is good news if you're a fan of the Buckeyes, but Douglas did mention he won't be making a final decision at least in the short-term.
According to 247sports' Crystal Ball Predictions, the Buckeyes and Bulldogs both have a 50 percent chance at landing Douglas, so it should be a very interesting next couple of months.
