However, as four-star cornerback Chevin Calloway (5-foot-10, 180 pounds, Dallas, TX) shows, some schools are able to swoop in and steal some recruits from the state.

Calloway becomes the 15th commit for Iowa's 2017 class, and he is Iowa's second-highest rated recruit according to the 247Sports Composite.

Iowa's recruiting class now ranks 15th in the nation, again according to 247Sports. Calloway had 32 total offers, including ones from Alabama, TCU, and Texas.
