Four-star defensive end Corey Malone-Hatcher (6-foot-3, 246 pounds, St. Joseph, MI) is one of the top players of the 2017 recruiting class. On Thursday, we found out where he plans to attend school, as he announced his commitment to Michigan via a ceremony at his high school.
According to 247Sports, Malone-Hatcher is the No. 5 rated recruit out of the state of Michigan, and No. 12 in the nation at his position. It looks like Coach Jim Harbaugh and company did their work here in protecting their home ground, as Malone-Hatcher becomes their 13th commit of the 2017 class. That class currently ranks No. 7 in the nation, according to the 247Sports rankings.
Malone-Hatcher also had offers from Alabama, Florida State, and Ohio State, among others.
