Chad Bailey is a late-rising prospect in the minds of some, but the four-star linebacker is generating a lot of additional interest right now and with good reason. The 6'0, 235-pound linebacker from Ridge Point (Tex.) is picking up additional offers seemingly every day and, in speaking to Nick Krueger of Rivals, Bailey shed light on two programs he is very interested in.
First, he spoke glowingly of Ed Orgeron and LSU, indicating that he believes an offer is coming after a recent trip to Baton Rouge. However, Bailey went even deeper on Texas Tech, revealing that the in-state school is a "high priority" given the way the Red Raiders have treated him through the process.
"That was cool, I'm a big fan of Texas Tech. They just had a player picked in the first round of the draft. Even though he was on offense, I know that I could come in there and play strong there too."
"They say I am good run-stopper and that would help them out a lot. They also said that I could come in and start right off the bat, and that's a good feeling."
"From the way it seems now, they're hitting me up every day, DM'ing me every day. Since I'm a high priority on their list, they're a high priority on mine."
Bailey now ranks as a top-ten linebacker nationally and as the No. 160 overall player according to Rivals. It will be very interesting to monitor his offer list in the future as it continues to expand.
