Phillips picked Oklahoma over Texas A&M — who had come on strong in recent weeks — LSU, Oregon Alabama, and Notre Dame. He had 23 offers overall.
Phillips is another big get for Oklahoma, who gained the commitment of four-star running back Kennedy Brooks just a week ago. The Sooners are currently sweeping up on the recruiting trail, as they are in the Top 5 in recruiting rankings at both 247Sports and ESPN.
Oklahoma already has 22 commitments for their 2017 class, including 16 commitments from four-star recruits.
