Four-star linebacker Walter Grant (6-foot-4, 236 pounds, Cairo, GA) gave one team a big boost ahead of a game on Saturday. Late on Friday night, Grant spurned Alabama and Florida State by announcing his commitment to Georgia.

"That's where I felt the most comfortable," Grant said to Rivals. "I think that's where I can make the earliest impact. It's just where I see myself."
It appears that Georgia coach Kirby Smart was thrilled with Grant commitment.

Smart does tweet often, so he is definitely happy.
Grant is the 16th commitment for Georgia's 2017 class. The Bulldogs currently rank in the Top 5 across all major recruiting services.
