Four-star OL Christian Meadows announces his verbal commitment

One ACC school just picked up its first commitment of its 2018 class. On Friday afternoon, four-star offensive lineman Christian Meadows (6-foot-3. 330 pounds, Montezuma, Ga.) announced that he is now verbally committed to Florida State's 2018 class, marking the first verbal commitment for the 'Noles class of 2018.

Meadows only holds one offer -- from Florida State. He spoke with Noles247 to discuss what went into his decision.

"Coach Haggins and Trickett really helped me realize it," Meadows told 247Sports of when he realized FSU was the right fit. "I like how honest and real they are about everything but after touring the campus I really enjoyed the atmosphere and distance from home and the fact that they are No. 1 in my program of study. It's beyond football, it's life after and the people I'm around that was my deciding factor."

Florida State's class, given Meadows' status as a four-star recruit, is the No. 1 ranked class for 2018, per 247Sports' rankings.
