Penn State has one of the top classes so far for the 2018 recruiting cycle, but they took a big hit on Friday when four-star offensive tackle Chris Bleich (6-foot-6, 305 pounds, Plymouth, Pa.) announced that he was reopening his recruiting and decommitting from the program.

Bleich didn't say that Penn State was completely out of the running now, but rather that he committed too early and that he wants to explore the process more during his senior year. Though Penn State may not be out of it, they may no longer be the favorite, as Nebraska is looking like a heavy contender after Bleich took an unofficial visit to Lincoln last week.
Bleich is rated as a four-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite rankings. His decommit leaves Penn State with 11 members in their 2018 class, which is ranked No. 2 as of now by 247Sports.
