Four-star OT denies several powerhouses, commits to this national champion coach

A good haul for this new head coach.

Former assistant coaches from recent title teams have been killing it as head coaches recently. Kirby Smart has been doing well in recruiting at Georgia, and Tom Herman has turned Houston into a legitimate team to watch.

Can Chris Ash — a former Ohio State assistant — do the same for Rutgers? Well, that much is yet to be seen, but the new Scarlet Knights head coach got some positive news on Tuesday when four-star offensive tackle Micah Clark (6-foot-5, 283 pounds, Holmdel, NJ) announced his commitment to Rutgers.

Rutgers has been in dire straits since the end of the Greg Schiano era, so it is going to take some time to rebuild the program back to where Schiano had it. However, Ash does have the title pedigree from Ohio State, so he will definitely have a chance to do something with the program.

Clark also had offers from Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Notre Dame.
