Four-star OT Devonte Gordon commits, then throws two programs recruiting him under the bus

Ok then!

Four-star offensive tackle Devonte Gordon made his commitment to a surprise ACC school when he chose Wake Forest over Virginia and N.C. State. However, his explanation for the commitment revolved around more than just picking a football program as he explained to Rivals.

"My final three schools were Wake Forest, NC State and UVA. NC State had good football and bad academics compared to the other two schools while UVA was the other way around bad football and good academics. Wake Forest brought the best of both worlds so I committed."

That's some fire commentary right there from the 6'5", 275-pound OT, but don't tell him that the Demon Deacons only went 7-6 last season and were 3-9 the year before. Gordon is ranked as the No. 20 player at his position and No. 2 recruit in Washington, D.C. according to Rivals.

Gordon will likely get the chance to play both of those schools by the time he finishes his career at Wake so we'll have to see who gets the last laugh on the field and off it.

Here are some of his highlights:
