Four-star quarterback Mac Jones (6-foot-1, 180 pounds, Jacksonville, FL) was committed to Kentucky, and he was one of the best players in what has been a good 2017 recruiting class for the Wildcats.

However, he is commitment to Kentucky is no more. On Tuesday, Jones announces via Twitter that he was now committed to Alabama.
Please respect my decision! I am 100% committed to the University Of Alabama! #RollTide #SEC pic.twitter.com/h92gsYhnBk

As Jones says, an "opportunity of a lifetime" has presented itself. While he may have like Kentucky, it is hard to not be lured away when the defending national champs come calling.
Jones is the 11th commit of Alabama 2017 recruiting class, one which is knocking on the door of taking the No. 1 spot from Ohio State in the recruiting rankings.
For Kentucky, it's a different story; their class has dropped to 27th, which is a hard fall considering that used to be in the Top 10 over at 247Sports. Of course, 27th is still decent for Kentucky football, but losing a four-star quarterback is never fun.
