Four-star running back A.J. Dillon announces his verbal commitment

Massachusetts' No. 1 ranked running back was choosing between Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Michigan.

One school got a little better recruiting-wise with this commitment. Four-star running back A.J. Dillon (6-foot-1, 230 pounds, Groton, Ma.) announced his verbal commitment on Monday morning to Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines. Dillon, who is the No. 19 ranked back in the country, took to Twitter to make his announcement official.

The commitment marks the second big running back commit for Michigan's 2017 class — Harbaugh landed running back Kurt Taylor last October. Dillon chose Michigan over Wisconsin — who he unofficially visited last weekend — and Notre Dame. He held offers from Florida State and Virginia Tech, among several others, Dillon told 247Sports that he knew his mind was made up after he took an official visit to South Bend, In.

"After my Michigan visit, I felt like my life after football would be set up with the connections and education I would get there." Dillon said via 247Sports. "To tie in with that, you add the aspect of world-class facilities and an amazing football program filled with great players and a great staff. I also felt like the city of Ann Arbor would be somewhere I could call home. I just stepped on campus and felt comfortable."
