Thursday wasn't the best day for Alabama in recruiting, as now 2017 four-star running back Cam Akers (5-foot-11, 210 pounds, Clinton MS) has backed off his commitment to the program.

This comes after quarterback Jake Fromm flipped from the Crimson Tide to Georgia on Thursday, too. Both are huge loss, as they are rated Top 100 recruits in the country by 247Sports.
Akers is currently rated the No. 3 running back in the nation, and the No. 36 overall recruit, meaning he could wind up as a five-star recruit before the recruiting cycle is over. Georgia and Ole Miss are now the likely favorites for where he will go.
Of course, since Alabama has pretty much led everyone in recruiting over the past eight years, they will be fine. But man, two big decommits in one day is a tough blow to take.
