Four-star running back Marcus Murphy (6-foot-1, 170 pounds, West Point, MS) is one of the top recruits of the 2018 recruiting class. And for now, at least, Murphy is off of the recruiting board, as he announced his commitment to Mississippi State via Twitter.

Murphy is ranked the No. 2 recruit in the state of Mississippi for the 2018 recruiting class. He is the third commit for that class for Mississippi State, joining four-star Malik Heath and top JUCO recruit Emmit Gooden.
