One of the top safeties in the class of 2018 could making a commitment this summer, and after a recent trip to Tennessee, the four-star safety Trey Dean is now including the Volunteers among the seven schools he's seriously considering as of right now.
The seven schools that Dean is considering include: Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, UCLA, Oregon and Texas.
Dean opened up about his experience in Knoxville to 247sports:
"I know that college atmosphere there is going to be great — no doubt about that."
"The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Dean said he "knew Tennessee was a great school, so I just wanted to go out there and explore" after getting a scholarship offer from the Vols in January."
Tennessee jumping into the fray for Dean is certainly interesting, as 247sports gives the Georgia Bulldogs a 100 percent chance of landing the Dutchtown high school star according to their Crystal Ball Predictions.
Dean is listed as the No. 24 safety in the class overall.
