Four-star TE Jimmy Jaggers makes commitment to a team that really needed it

They really needed this.

While we may still be a long ways away from 2017 National Signing Day in February, we are starting to get to a critical point in the recruiting process. Recruiting classes are far from final, but if you are a coach or a fan of a team, you definitely need to have some foundations to your class by this point.

Just a week ago, UCLA suffered their sixth decommit of the 2017 class, which left them with only three commitments. Considering many powerhouse are already around 20 — and most over 10 — having only three leaves something a lot to be desired.

The Bruins have made a couple of gains this week though; they picked up two three-star commits on Tuesday and Wednesday, and on Thursday, they scored big by landing four-star tight end Jimmy Jaggers.

Jaggers (6-foot-4, 244 pounds, Roseville, CA) is rated as the No. 9 tight end of the 2017 class by the 247Sports Composite. He also had offers from Alabama, Michigan, and USC.
