After spending one season at Texas, wide receiver and former four-star recruit Ryan Newsome announced on Sunday that he would be transferring.
It didn't take long for Newsome to figure out some new destinations, either, as he already has a Top 6, according to 247Sports.
Those six teams? Alabama, Texas A&M, Tennessee, USC, Arizona State, and Michigan State. Not exactly the schools you would expect for a wideout leaving an under-.500 program, but Newsome is clearly a coveted player.
"I know more schools will come after me but more than likely that list won't change," Newsome told 247Sports.

The reason for Newsome's departure from Texas have to do with his fit in the offense. At just 5-foot-8, Newsome is definitely a speedy guy, but he lacked the size that Texas offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert was looking for.
His transfer has apparently been a long time coming, and it looks like he and Longhorns were finally able to agree. Per the terms of his release, Newsome is blocked from tranferring to Notre Dame, California, and any other Big 12 team.
Considering the caliber of schools chasing after him, we aren't sure who that is more unfair to: him, or the schools that got blocked.
