Laviska Shenault (6-foot-1, 195 pounds, DeSoto, TX) is a four-star wide receiver recruit, and according to 247Sports early on Thursday, Alabama was the hottest team on his trail for his commitment.

However, Shenault apparently had different ideas, as he announced on Thursday that he was committing to Colorado.

Colorado went 4-9 in the 2015 season, where they oddly played 13 regular season games. Overall, they haven't been to a bowl game since 2005, so this is a huge pickup for them. In order to rebound as a program, you need to be able to convince some talent to play for you, so maybe this could be the start of a successful rebuilding process.
As for Alabama, they will likely just try to move on to the next big name recruit.
