Georgia is trying to keep its eyes on the College Football Playoff. The Bulldogs are also dealing with an off-field distraction or two.

Starting freshman offensive lineman Dontrell Glover and reserve running back Bo Walker were arrested Friday on misdemeanor shoplifting charges, according to WSBTV in Atlanta. The arrests occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. ET, and both players were released before 8 p.m. after posting a $1,526 bond.
"We were informed of the charges and are currently in the process of gathering additional information," Georgia spokesman Steve Drummond told ESPN's Dan Murphy. "This is a pending legal matter and we will not have further comment at this time."
It remains unclear whether the arrests will impact the availability of either player for the playoffs. Georgia, the No. 3 seed at 12-1, will face the winner of the No. 6 Ole Miss vs. No. 11 Tulane game on Jan. 1.
Any discipline would be more than a footnote for the Bulldogs. Glover has started the past 11 games at right guard and recently earned SEC All-Freshman honors. The Fairburn, Georgia, native has been a fixture on an offensive line that helped power Georgia to another SEC title.
Walker has played a smaller role but made the most of it. The Ellenwood, Georgia, native has appeared in six games, rushing 22 times for 104 yards and three touchdowns. All three scores came in Georgia's 35-3 win over Charlotte on Nov. 29.
The situation adds to a growing list of legal issues around the program in recent seasons. Earlier this year, coach Kirby Smart dismissed reserve lineman Nyier Daniels following an arrest for allegedly driving more than 150 mph while attempting to evade police.
Georgia remains a national title contender regardless. The Bulldogs are listed at +600 at FanDuel, third-best odds in the field. A potential championship run would include a semifinal matchup against the winner of Ohio State and either Texas A&M or Miami.
