One of the top recruits for 2018 wasted no time in making his commitment, as safety Gilbert Frierson (6-foot-1, 180 pounds, Miami, FL) announced his commitment to the Miami Hurricanes just days after receiving an offer.

According to 247Sports, Frierson was at Miami's Junior Day on February 20, where he later received an offer from head coach Mark Richt and company. Frierson also had offers from Alabama, LSU, Michigan, and Oklahoma, but it looks like he will be staying home in southern Florida.
Frierson does not yet have a star-rating, but with the offers he has received thus far, he is expected to be rated as a four-star once the recruiting services get to the 2018 class.
