Hometown LB recruit Antjuan Simmons spurns Michigan for this school

This came out of nowhere!

It's no surprise that Michigan was one of the favorites for a recruit from Ann Arbor. However, three-star linebacker Antjuan Simmons (6-foot-1, 205 pounds, Ann Arbor, Mi.) has decided to go elsewhere, as he announced his commitment to Ohio State on Tuesday morning.

This was a big surprise, at least going off of 247Sports' Crystal Ball prediction. The website had Michigan, Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Texas A&M as the favorites, but it looks like Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes were able to swoop in and snipe Simmons away from all of those schools.

Though only a three-star recruit, Simmons has the most offers of any Midwest recruit — according to 247Sports — with 40 offers. He becomes the 12th commitment of Ohio State's 2017 recruiting class, which is far and away the best in the country so far.
