HS football player did this because he did not want to play football anymore

In an absolutely horrifying tale, a 16-year old high school football player is in police custody after he allegedly stabbed his father during an argument. According to KHOU in Houston, the argument apparently rose from the child's intention to quit the high school football team.

According to KHOU, the argument began after the father learned that his son has missed several football practices. It was after the son told his father of his intentions to quit the team that things got out of hand, with the son allegedly stabbing his father multiple times in the arms, back, and stomach. The 45-old old father is reportedly in stable condition at a nearby hospital.

The boy is currently being held at a local detention center on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to KHOU, the 16 year old has not been charged as an adult.
