"I am shutting things down and I'm an LSU Tiger," Moore said to 247Sports. "I was walking to class and was chatting with (Dennis Johnson) and he let me talk with (Ed Orgeron), and Coach O asked me if I wanted to commit. It was really an awesome moment.
Moore spoke with LSU defensive coordinator Dave Arranda, and the 6'6, 250-pound edge rusher will either play defensive end or outside linebacker for the Tigers.
"He was just telling me that he was excited to have me as a Tiger," Moore said. "He was really pumped up for me. I just have to thank Coach Johnson and Coach Orgeron for the opportunity. It's a dream come true.
The Louisiana native has one more season at Copiah-Lincoln Community College before he plans to enroll at LSU in January of 2018.
