In a surprise to no one, Oregon has new uniforms and they're awful

Considering that Oregon essentially has unlimited Nike dollars to work with, they really should be making as many uniform combinations as they can. It's an exciting thing to sell to recruits, and let's be honest: some of the combos look awesome.

But others... not so awesome.

On Saturday, Oregon tweeted out a couple of promotional pictures for wide receiver Devon Allen, who will be competing at the Rio Olympics in track and field. In the photos, Allen appears to be in a new uniform colorway, and it is... not ideal.

Oregon has worn black jerseys before, and some of those combinations have looked fine. This one, though, with the bulky-looking green numbers... they just look awkward. A lot of the jerseys that Oregon usually wears have a streamlined style for the numbers, and it generally fits in with the unique colorway for the entire uniform.

For this one, the numbers are different than usual, and it makes a big difference. Instead of fitting in with the uniform, they stick out, and with that colors involved here, it just looks awful.

If it's any consolation, they will probably have another new uniform next week and it will look fine.
