Jabrill Peppers annihiliated Colorado's quarterback on the sideline right after he got hurt

Jabrill Peppers is the last thing you want to see coming at you as a helpless bystander on the sideline.

Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau was playing lights-out football against Michigan on Saturday afternoon, picking apart one of the best defenses in the country with regularity. However, the veteran signal-caller got dinged up in a big way in the second half, while throwing a lengthy touchdown pass.

Shortly after that unfortunate injury, Michigan star Jabrill Peppers took a kick return across midfield and, purely by way of coincidence, crashed into the Colorado sideline right at the point where Liufau was being attended to by trainers.

The video above certainly could provide comic value in that one of Colorado's assistance had the look of a "cool customer" as Peppers careened toward the sideline, but another member of the staff took a direct shot of a 210-pound athlete at full steam, and so did Liufau. While it does not appear that Liufau suffered any additional injury as a result of the collision, this was the perfect storm for Colorado's quarterback, and it certainly did not aid in him returning quickly to the field.

The game between Colorado and Michigan included a number of weird incidents, including the Buffaloes punter hitting his own offensive lineman with a "butt punt", but this one was more unfortunate than anything else. Hopefully, Sefo Liufau will return quickly and healthily to the field.
