One of the top defensive tackles in the country has made his decision.
On Tuesday, three-star recruit Ja'Mion Franklin (6-foot-1, 315 pounds, Ridgely, MD) ended his recruitment for the time being by announcing his pledge to Notre Dame.
"After sitting down with my family and having a deep discussion about my future goals and aspirations and we have came to a conclusion," said Franklin. "I've decided to commit to The University of Notre Dame."
While only a three-star for now, Franklin has been rising on recruiting boards after receiving offers from Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and Virginia Tech in recent months. Franklin best attribute is his quickness off the line at 315 pounds, though there are some concerns about how his game will translate at a higher level of play.
With the commit, Notre Dame now has 12 recruits in their 2018 recruiting class. They rank sixth in the nation over in 247Sports' recruiting rankings.
