This is a huge get for Auburn, as quarterback had been a position of weakness for the Tigers for the 2015 season. Sean White had finally emerged as the definitive starter this season, but injuries to White had helped derail the end of Auburn's season. Now, Auburn has Stidham and he should be a game-changer for the Tigers.
After sitting out the 2016 season, Stidham will be eligible in 2017. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Stidham left Baylor in the summer after Baylor fired Art Briles. In his freshman season with the Bears in 2015, Stidham accumulated 1,265 passing yards and 14 total touchdowns in 10 total games and three starts.
