Jim Harbaugh blasted the Big Ten for scheduling Friday night football

Jim Harbaugh isn't shy about sharing his opinion.

Jim Harbaugh isn't shy about expressing his opinion and, in the wake of the Big Ten announcing an extensive Friday night football television package, he didn't hesitate. Michigan's much-ballyhooed head coach had this to say about his own conference's idea and plan.

Aside from the amusement of Harbaugh replying to a previous tweet of his own on a completely different subject, Harbaugh's stance seems to be in line with his athletic director, Warde Manuel. Michigan is one of several teams that stand in opposition to the move, and Harbaugh's reasoning concerning high school football is shared by the Wisconsin football program and others.

Harbaugh is famously regarded as a football purist and that explains his love affair with high school football and with the game at all levels. More than anything, though, Michigan's opposition probably has more to do with the bottom line of enormous revenue and opportunity on Saturdays, but in Harbaugh's case, it really might just be football-related.

Regardless, the Wolverines were always going to be at the forefront of a movement against this, and it seems safe to assume that the Big House will not be hosting Friday night games at any time in the near future.
