Jim Harbaugh employed a new, physically challenging tactic to impress recruits

Jim Harbaugh is an incredible recruiter, and he reminded everyone of that with an interesting move over the weekend.

Jim Harbaugh has already established himself as one of the most dynamic recruiters in the world of college football, but Michigan's head coach isn't done just yet. Harbaugh and the Wolverines put together the annual "BBQ at the Big House" event in Ann Arbor as something of an extravaganza for recruits, and he was photographed after scaling "The Cube" on Michigan's campus.

2017 wide receiver recruit Oliver Martin brings word of Harbaugh's climbing ability, and Evan Petzold of SB Nation's Maize 'n Brew indicates that started a scavenger hunt alongside the assembled crew of wide receivers in order to make this shot happen. In addition, the top overall recruit in the Class of 2017 (and Alabama commit) Najee Harris was captured in this particular photo, and it seems clear that Harbaugh spending time with that particular player is not a coincidence.

The "BBQ at the Big House" provides an opportunity for Jim Harbaugh and his entire staff, including his brother Jay and elite recruiter Tyrone Wheatley, to make a real impression on recruits throughout the next few classes. Providing Harbaugh with a window in recruiting is all he seems to need, and things like this pile up when Michigan assembles yet another strong group of recruits for 2017 and beyond.
