FOX analyst names one man as the top developmental coach in college football

You can't deny his success.

There are many top-tier coaches in the college football world and that makes for fantastic arguments about which are better than others. With that said, Jim Harbaugh is almost always included in the top tier and Joel Klatt of FOX Sports recently showered him with praise while speaking with Colin Cowherd.

Klatt described Harbaugh as "the best developmental coach in America" when prompted about Michigan's lack of returning talent in 2017 and he went on to shower more praise on the Michigan staff.

"There's no coaching staff in America that teaches the game — in particular on the field — like Jim Harbaugh does. He will get more out of a team than anybody else in America."

The Wolverines lose a great deal of talent from 2016 and, under normal circumstances, that would be a big problem. Still, Harbaugh has done a phenomenal job in flipping the roster upon arrival in Ann Arbor and his reputation speaks for itself.

Coaches like Nick Saban, Urban Meyer and Jimbo Fisher may have more accomplished college football resumes than that of Harbaugh but this isn't the first (or last) time a prominent voice has praised his skills as a developmental entity. That probably is not a coincidence.
