The Michigan Wolverines were already leading 21-0 late in the second quarter against the Maryland Terrapins, when freshman running back Chris Evans began to streak toward the end zone on a long dash. Evans was pushed out of bounds at the 1-yard line prior to crossing the goal line and, after an official review, the play stood as called on the field, much to the chagrin of Harbaugh and the Michigan staff.

As you can see above, Harbaugh absolutely exploded after the announcement that Michigan would have the ball on the 1-yard line rather than being credited with six points, even with full knowledge that the Wolverines would almost certainly score in short order. Predictably, they did to extend their first-half lead to 28-0, but that did not matter to Harbaugh, who always wants the call to go in his favor.

Earlier in the day, Harbaugh shared some colorful language with an offensive lineman, Kyle Kalis, after a mishap with a personal foul penalty, and even in an apparent blowout, there is no time for complacency with Michigan's head coach. Frankly, he's the gift that keeps on giving, and this was another example.
